The JadeWeserPort in Wilhelmshaven is a once-in-a-century project. Germany's only tide-independent deep-water harbour was created with an overall investment volume of 950 million euros. It can service large container ships with capacities greater than 14,000 TEU, draughts greater than 16.5 metres and lengths up to 430 metres.
In Wilhelmshaven, around two-thirds of overseas container traffic are handled as sea transit loads in European distribution traffic with maritime ports in Scandinavia, the EU Baltic states and Russia.
JORDAHL quickly provided 1,200 metres of JTA W72/48 fv CE type anchor channel and 2,750 special JA type, M20 and M24 bolts with lengths between 75 and 150 mm. This allowed damage to the 1,725 metre long quayside sheet pile wall caused during the final construction phase to be successfully remediated and the quay to be completed on time.
